Limitlass is more than just a weekend. The progression and development of women in mountain biking drives us and our Limitlass Legacy is where we give back and support our community.
Trails & environment
Limitlass works with Aberdeenshire Trail Association to maintain and repair the trails used at our event. Our women’s only dig day provides opportunties for women to get involved with trail maintenance in a fun and encouraging way.
People & community
As part of our partnership with Endura, we are dedicated to supporting a limited number female mountain bikers to develop their professional skills. We aim to provide development opportunities for women looking to gain qualifications coaching, leadership, mechanics or trail building.
Desination & culture
All eyes are on Scotland this year, with the upcoming Cycling World Championships. The event, which is in the same month as Limitlass, will see thousands of elite athletes from across the globe compete on Scottish soil. We join this incredible event in celebrating the ‘power of the bike’ as well as showcasing Aberdeenshire as one of Scotland’s top mountain biking destinations.
Trash Free Trails approved
Running an event doesn’t have to cost the ‘earth’. That’s why we are working to achieve Trash Free Trails gold standard, by making our event as sustainable as possible. We aim to reduce the impact of our event by:
Offering sustainable travel options
Running a repair workshop with Endura to prolong the life of our kit
Using local vendors and encouraging them to use eco-friendly containers and cutlery
Providing a trash zone with recycling, waste disposal and litter pick station
Reducing single use plastic by encouraging attendees to bring their own bottle
Protecting and repairing the trails we use, alongside Aberdeenshire Trail Association
Raising awareness of Trash Free Trails (go check them and their amazing work out!)
