Frequently asked questions.

What is Limitlass and who is it for?

Limitlass is a mountain bike festival for women, run by women. We bring riders together for an inspirational weekend of mountain biking, skills coaching, guided rides, wellbeing and good vibes!

When and where is Limitlass?

Limiltass will be held from 9th to 11th August 2024 in Dunkeld, Perthshire. Things kick off at 5pm on the Friday and we'll wrap up on the Sunday afternoon.

Are non-binary folks welcome?

Yes! Limitlass welcomes anyone who idenitfies as women or non-binary. Members of the LQBTQ+, non-binary and women of colour are strongly encouraged to attend. We offer a small discount to these groups, please drop us a message if you would like to take us up on the offer.

How much mountain biking experience do I need?

Limitlass is suitable for beginners through to advanced riders. Our coaching sessions are tailored to your skill level so whether you want to get the basics dialled or fine-tune your techincal skills, we have something to offer everyone. Ideally beginners should have at least some experience riding a mountain bike off road.

What kind of bike do I need?

You’ll need a mountain bike (one with knobbly tires!) which is in good working order. A hardtail or full-suspension is fine. You can bring an e-bike, but please be mindful that the pace will be set by the non-ebikers in your group.

How old do I have to be to attend?

Attendees must be 18 or over.

I don’t have anyone to go with. Can I come on my own?

Yes absolutely! A third of the people who responsed to our survey last year came to Limitlass on their own. We know it can be nerve-racking, but we promise it will be worth it! There are so many opportunities to meet people and make new friends - who knows, you could leave Limitlass with a whole new crew to ride with!

What about accommodation?

Camping is included in the ticket price for Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August. Bring a tent or a small van, but no caravans please. If you prefer not to camp, hotels and self-catering accommodation can be found in nearby Dunkeld. (But we really recommend camping to get the full Limitlass experience!)
